Harris Pkwy Construction & Alternative Routes | November 17th to 21st

Harris Parkway near Altamesa will be closed for construction from November 17–21 at the following times:

    • Monday–Thursday: 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

    • Friday: All day starting at 8:30 am

We expect normal carlines to run as usual Monday–Thursday.

However, all mid-day trips to campus Monday–Thursday (meetings, volunteering, early pick-ups, etc.) and all campus traffic on Friday after morning carline should use the alternate routes below, entering and exiting.

Below are a few friendly reminders 

    1. Drive slowly. Treat the carline as a walking-pace zone and be mindful of pedestrians at all times.
    2. Be generous, and stop before intersections so neighborhood traffic can exit.
    3. Buckle up—every passenger should be wearing seat belts at all times. Even low-speed impacts can seriously injure an unrestrained child.
    4. Handheld device use in active school zones is dangerous and prohibited under Texas law.
    5. Please do not stage or meet students inside Tavolo Park Ladera, or at the Affinity condos.
