Homecoming Week:
Homecoming Week is quickly approaching and will have lots of fun opportunities for our scholars to partake in! Please read through the items below to ensure you know what to expect for the week of September 29th – October 3rd.
Dress Up Days:
As we continue growing our high school, we look to the wisdom of the past that forms our curriculum as well as to the future with great anticipation of where our great-hearted scholars will go!
Please note the standard for all dress-up days: Costumes must always cover the same parts of the body as the unform. No spandex/leggings. If your scholar does not want to participate in the theme for the day, he or she must wear his or her uniform. It is not a free dress week.
Monday 9/29 – Explorer Day
Dress for adventure as we look towards what the future holds for our scholars! Explorers may wear jeans, boots, and other pro-hiking type clothing.
Tuesday 9/30 – Post Graduation Job Day
Dress up as the job you want after graduation without purchasing a pre-made costume! Get creative, use what you have, and show off your future job goals.
Wednesday 10/01 – Neon Accessories Day
Show off your bright future by wearing neon accessories to your standard uniform. Please no light-up items.
Thursday 10/02 – Fairytale Accessories Day
GHLS is a magical place so add your best fairytale accessories to your standard uniform. This is another chance to show off your creative skills and bring a fairytale character to life.
Friday 10/03 – Homecoming Spirit Day
Time to show off your homecoming spirit! We are having special t-shirts made in honor of homecoming that highlight this year’s theme to commemorate this special celebration. Homecoming t-shirts or any other spirit shirt (house shirt, Lion Shop gear, Athletic Shirt, etc.) may be worn with standard uniform bottoms. Orders due by September 14th.
HS Scholars (9th & 10th ONLY) may order mums / garters to be worn on Friday as well. Orders must be placed through this link and will be delivered October 1st. Please note that mum/garter orders are due by September 26th if you want them delivered directly to the school. A portion of each sale will go towards future Senior events.

Homecoming Pep Rallies:
Homecoming Pep Rallies will be held on two different days this year to better accommodate all of our scholars and guests. Middle school will be held on Thursday, October 2nd at 3:00pm and High school will be on Friday, October 3rd at 12:30pm. We ask that Visitors use the Google Forms below to RSVP so that we can have your badges ready.

Gentlemen should wear dress slacks (no jeans or patched pocket pants), a dress shirt, and tie. Ladies should wear modest-length skirts or dresses (no shorter than two inches above the knee). Tops should not be strapless or bare the midriff; spaghetti straps are allowed. Necklines should be no lower than 4 finger-widths below the collarbone. Hair should be styled appropriately for the occasion. Scholars out of dress code will be asked to wear a provided shawl, tie, or asked to change at home and return.
Tickets may be purchased now for $10 here until October 2nd or at the dance for $15.
